M\u00eame si notre van poss\u00e8de un chauffage, il nous a \u00e9t\u00e9 recommand\u00e9 de ne pas l&rsquo;utiliser la nuit car il est au gaz. Nous sommes donc bien contents d\u2019avoir nos duvets en plus de la couette fournie par le loueur pour nous r\u00e9chauffer un peu. Nous contemplons le lac de ce c\u00f4t\u00e9. Il est beau mais l&rsquo;apr\u00e8s-midi de la veille est toujours grav\u00e9 dans nos m\u00e9moires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nous reprenons la route et d\u00e9cidons de nous d\u00e9gourdir les jambes en allant marcher au-dessus du barrage d\u2019Aviemore. Il fait partie du syst\u00e8me hydro\u00e9lectrique de la rivi\u00e8re Waitaki qui fournit 30% de la production en hydro\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 du pays. D\u2019un c\u00f4t\u00e9 le lac d\u2019Aviemore, de l\u2019autre les 4 turbines de 55 Megawatts chacune\u2026pas envie d\u2019exp\u00e9rimenter un tremblement de terre en plein milieu, d&rsquo;autant que le barrage est situ\u00e9 sur la faille de Waitangi. Ces dessins datent de 1400 \u00e0 1900 apr\u00e8s JC et peuvent repr\u00e9senter des hommes ou des animaux. Ces derniers sont impressionnants, ils font de 1 \u00e0 10 m\u00e8tres de hauteur. Ce site a servi de d\u00e9cor aux Chroniques de Narnia. Difficile de repartir mais nous voulons avoir rejoint notre camping avant la nuit. A la sortie, une bo\u00eete de dons est \u00e0 disposition pour entretenir le site.&nbsp; Ce d\u00e9tour par les Elephants rocks nous permet de passer par des lieux impressionnants avec des falaises au milieu des terres, les Island Cliffs. Notre wahouuu du jour&nbsp;! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Mais on a pas d&rsquo;image, oups !<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nous parvenons \u00e0 la plage de Kakanui un peu avant la nuit. Il y a l\u00e0 un petit espace pour dormir gratuitement au bord de la plage. Quel bonheur ce pays&nbsp;! La nuit est magnifique, Romain continue de progresser en astrophotographie. Camping&nbsp;: All Day Bay Beach (Kakanui).<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><u><strong>Mercredi 16 mai<\/strong> <\/u><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ce matin, on met le r\u00e9veil pour aller voir les Moeraki Boulders. Qu\u2019est-ce que c\u2019est&nbsp;? Concr\u00e8tement, ce sont des rochers sph\u00e9riques qu&rsquo;on peut observer sur la plage \u00e0 mar\u00e9e basse. Les plus grosses sph\u00e8res peuvent peser 3 tonnes et mesurer 3 m\u00e8tres, c\u2019est donc assez gros et surtout il y en a beaucoup. Juste \u00e0 cet endroit&#8230; ce n&rsquo;est vraiment pas commun&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-6 is-layout-flex mais nous sommes arriv\u00e9s un peu tard, et nous voyons surtout des touristes. Nous remontons prendre un caf\u00e9 au bord de la plage puis nous nous dirigeons vers la P\u00e9ninsule d\u2019Otago, pr\u00e8s de Dunedin. C\u2019est un des premiers gros \u00e9carts avec le trajet initial. Apr\u00e8s les Moeraki Boulders, je pensais que nous allions retourner dans les terres. La route de la p\u00e9ninsule est impressionnante, si proche de l\u2019eau. Romain et moi ne sommes pas tr\u00e8s rassur\u00e9s\u2026 mais on y va quand m\u00eame. A destination, nous sommes accueillis par Daffy et Duck, des canards assez entreprenants. Romain qui est sorti le premier pense que nous nous sommes gar\u00e9s \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 de leur nid. En fait, ils sont juste gourmands. Normalement, nous nous interdisons de nourrir les animaux sauvages mais l\u00e0 il fallait bien&nbsp; les \u00e9loigner du camion pendant la man\u0153uvre. C\u2019est parti, mon kiwi&nbsp;! On en m\u00e8ne pas large quand m\u00eame sur cette route de montagne. Enfin, surtout moi qui suis au bord. Petit d\u00e9tail \u00e0 conna\u00eetre&nbsp;: en NZ, les routes peuvent s\u2019\u00e9crouler par endroit. Et pas qu&rsquo;un peu ! Parfois c&rsquo;est un pan entier de route qui manque&#8230; Ils r\u00e9parent mais \u00e7a ne rassure pas quand tu circules sur ce type de route, et quand tu vois des traces d&rsquo;\u00e9boulis&#8230; Nous arrivons heureusement \u00e0 Dunedin sans encombre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><em>Distance parcourue&nbsp;:&nbsp; 102 km (907 km c.)
